How to Reset the Display Monitor Devices Attached to TVs
Keeping the display monitors running smoothly is essential for ensuring that content is always visible and up to date. If a display monitor is not functioning properly, a quick reset can often resolve the issue. Follow these simple steps to reset the devices attached to the TVs in the Union building.
Step 1: Identify the Display Monitor Device
Each TV in the building is connected to a small black box media player, usually mounted behind the screen or nearby. Look for a device labeled with the appropriate name or branding. Some of the older devices have a "Raspberry" logo on one of the sides.
Step 2: Identify the Display Monitor Device
- Locate the power cable connected to the display device.
- Unplug the power cable from the display device.
- Wait for 30 seconds to allow the device to fully power down.
- Plug the power cable back in and ensure the device powers on.
Step 3: Verify the Display
Once the device has restarted:
- Check if the TV screen displays the correct content.
- If the screen is blank or showing an error message, ensure the correct input source is selected on the TV (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2).
Step 4: Verify the Display
If the reset process does not resolve the issue, contact Ryann through Teams or email and she can reach out to the LoopScreen support team. Be sure to provide details such as the TV location and any error messages displayed.
By following these steps, you can quickly troubleshoot and resolve common display monitor issues, ensuring that the Union's content stays visible and engaging.
