You should call campus police in the event of a:
- Building Resident requests police presence
- Anytime a law is broken (ex. stealing & vandalism)
- Anytime an employee, building resident, or student feels unsafe
- Bomb Threat
- Suspicious Package
- Suspicious Person
*Use your best judgment in all of these cases to determine if the police are necessary to call; if unsure contact Lead Building Managers
*If there is no description, image, or recording of the individual(s) do not contact campus police, unless a patron requests their presence (Incident report should still be submitted)
Contacting Campus Police

- Introduce yourself as the Union Building Manager
- Explain the situation in as much detail as you can
- Request to meet at the service desk or a set location
- Describe the situation again upon campus police arrival and assist with finding the location, accessing rooms etc.
- Request officers name and email, case number and file an incident report to the best of your ability
*Notify Lead Building Manager if you need any assistance
