When you are hired, we will send an invitation to join our team on Homebase to your email. You’ll download Homebase on the app store of your phone or you can access it on a web browser. When you download Homebase on your phone, there will be different tabs that you’re able to see. We will primarily use Homebase, Schedule, Messages, and More.
On the “Homebase” tab, you can click on “Dashboard” and that will be where you’re able to see your upcoming shifts, request covers, and clock in if you are a fellow.
Request Cover & Trade Shift
With the Homebase app, you can send cover requests to a person, a group, or the whole team. You can also trade shifts as needed.
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap Schedule on the lower navigation bar.
- Select Week View> My Shifts Only from the top bar.
- Tap Find Cover to the right of any future shifts you want to be covered.
- Tap Trade Shift, select all or specific teammates, and click Submit.
- Tap Request Cover, select all or specific teammates, and click Submit.
- Your teammates and manager will receive your request for approval.
Request Time Off
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap ≡ on the upper left side of the navigation bar.
- Tap Requests.
- Tap Time Off.
- To submit a request, tap the plus icon in the upper right corner.
- Enter the details of your request including the day, time, category, and memo for reference.
- Click Submit to send your request to your manager.
- You’ll be notified when your manager responds to the request. If your request is approved it will be reflected on your schedule for that day.
*Time off requests need to be submitted 2 weeks in advance
